Extreme frugalism

December 5th, 2010 at 04:36 am

As most of us deal with the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I am already thinking of the New Year and the sacrafices I need to make in order to reduce my debt and make ends meet. I am going to attempt extreme frugalism. It's going to take everthing I have to perservere but with a little faith, I think I can do it Smile

Hubby and I have done no spend months with great success. Maybe you could start with a short term kick-start like that, just to free up a lot of money in the short term, then you can slowly add back in what you think are necessities.

Ahh, another Holiday newbie, like I was - welcome! Just stick with it and you can do it. Sticking with it and maintaining focus is a real challenge for me, but being here gives me at least a fighting chance. Unfortunately, if my feet aren't being held to the fire I tend to slack off. This site can help make it more a way of life. Good luck and happy economizing!

This is certainly the time of year that leads people to want change, and if we manage it right then a series of resolutions/goals can offer some insurance of making progress. I think that a blog is a great idea, keep with it! Good luck...
