Wow, that is high. I would be very upset too. The best way i know to deal with dumb expenses like this is to just pay it off asap to minimize the amount of time you have to think about it or look at the ticket sitting on your desk.
patientsaver you are right. I'd love to pay it off today and put the whole thing behind me. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to do so. I need to rework my budget for the next few months and pay it off by August.
I am surprised that a speeding ticket would lead to traffic school like that, unless you have a history of tickets or something like that. Will this affect your car insurance at all? Good luck with this...

Jerry...traffic school is almost always offered as an alternate to points on your driving record. I only have one prior ticket over 25 years ago. I haven't contacted my insurance yet. One way or another, it will all work out...
